Many Chicago area museums offer FREE days for families! Please note that special exhibits and features may not be included in the free general admission. See individual museum web sites for details.

Free Winter Weekdays: From January 3 through February 4, the museum is offering free admission, every weekday, all day long (late evenings included)!
Target Free Thursday Evenings offer free admission February 10-May 26 from 5-8pm. Full free days are the first and second Wednesday of each month:

The first Sunday of every month is free admission for ages 15 and under.
Kraft Free Family Night is every Thursday from 5-8pm, free admission for everyone.

Free Mondays.
DuSable Museum of African American History
Free Sundays.
Field Museum
Free admission the 2nd Monday of each month, with additional free days throughout the year.

The Kraft Great Kids initiative also includes the Museum Passport, through which adult residents of the City of Chicago may check out passes and take their immediate family members (up to 4) to visit 12 of Chicago's world-class Museums for free, with their valid Chicago Public Library card.
